Projects > McKinnon Block - Scots College

The new McKinnon block is part of a larger roll growth project for Scots College as the school moves to co-ed teaching. The new block contains modern learning spaces, technical labs and a student common room.

The Architectural design has provided an abundance of natural light into the building which allowed the use of daylight harvesting control to the first level LED lighting as an energy reduction feature. A hydronic underfloor heating system (with central heat pump) warms the occupied spaces to a comfortable level.

The all-electric project includes a Photovoltaic Solar array that is positioned on the roof and contributes the buildings electricity needs.
